We’re the last ones left, you and me—the ones who aren’t about drama. I thought I left the drama in high school, in college, in petty circles at my faith group in my neighborhood—my temple, my mosque and faith-based community. But no; drama is everywhere, you can’t avoid it. As long as there are people, there is drama and rumors and entirely made-up fabrications. Just be a unicorn in life; be like the prophet Job, peace be upon him. Trial after trial—he had the patience of a thousand people, I’ve heard. He’s actually one of my heroes, one of my patron saints. “You have the patience of Job,” the saying goes.
